The craze of sporting different eye colors is reaching a fever pitch. Everybody wants to don a new look by changing their eye color frequently. Whether or not they have an eye problem, almost all of them do with the sole objective in mind- to get noticed. But choosing the right color is very important since every color has a different appeal that suits a different personality; otherwise you might end up getting noticed for the complete opposite reason. Here are a few tips on how to choose the right color of lenses for your eyes.
Know the types- There are two basic types of colored contact lenses. Such as, enhancement color contacts and opaque color contacts. Enhancement contacts are meant for light-eyed people and as the name suggests, they are there to enhance the natural color of the eye. On the other hand, opaque contact lens gives a rather dramatic appearance to the eyes. It completely covers your natural eyes and gives them a total different look. So if you have light blue eyes, get aqua enhancement lenses. If your eyes are gray or bluish gray, you just have to put on green lenses to get spotted even in crowded places. If you happen to have brown eyes go for opaque lenses the color of hazelnut.
Understand the comfort level- For those who want to don different colors; the market is abounding with different types of cosmetic lenses. Among the hard, soft and semi-soft ones available in the market, the semi-soft lenses are the ones that provide the best of comfort and cost.
Prescription is a must- Don’t be buoyed up in the notion that color contacts won’t need any prescription to be purchased. They do need a doctor’s prescription no matter you have an eye problem or not; owing to the fact that they are still medical devices. Apart from their style appeal, your eyes’ health also concerns you isn’t it? So if you are a pragmatic decision maker, think of your eye health and proceed with your passion of eye enhancements.
