Students would spend much time on surfing the internet during every vacation.Since the computer entered our life ,especially students' life,internet not only brought us a lot of knowledge but also some bad information. It has made many scholars in educational fields and parents concerned that how to protect naive children from bad information sitting besides the computer.

According a survey, some 65% of parents said their kids surfed the internet frequently.we can easily infer that internet has taked up a important part of children's daily life. About 20% said their kids surfed the internet on occasion because they cannot get parents' consent under the academic pressure.In addition,15% said their kids didnot surf the internet because they are too young to use the computer.On the survey whether they take measures to protect their children from bad information,most parents conceded they took concrete measures to protect kids.As far as we know,many parents protect children being online by accompanying them or checking computer desktop and they know little about computer monitoring software.At the same time,55% thought the filtering effect is the key point of computer monitoring software.They would choose to use it only on condition that it works a lot for children.Besides,30% would take it into consideration whether the computer monitoring software will affect the normal use of computer.15% would take it into consideration whether the software is free of charge.
