Healthcare is one of the largest feilds in the world. It shows the highest amount of growth in its feild today. It is predicted that the healthcare feild add about three millon more jobs by 2016. All medical jobs seek highly motivated people who will work any hours and any day of the week. They have to be able to work holidays if need be. Nurse: Nursing makes up most of the medical workforce with over 2.5 million nurses working in health care today. Registered Nursing is predicted to grow by 25% by 2016. Home Health and Hospice Care: Home Health as well as in home "Hospice Care" and home health care aids for the elderly and disabled are set to experience a growth over 50%.
Home health care is booming and by 2016 is expected to grow more than 50%. Its increase is because of the increase in population of the elderly. Many of the elderly patience need assistance but can live alone or maybe they just do not want nursing home care. While many of the home health patience are elderly they do care for younger patience who are ill or disabled in some way.
Jobs in Hospice care include Palliative Care Nurses, Physicians, Certified Nurses Aids. {CNA}, Case Managers, Counselors, and Social Workers. Palliative Care is not for the faint of heart. It is care for the dying or terminally ill. Palliative Care includes pain management and personal care that is designed to maximise the quality of life. Palliative Care may be done in a hospital or the patience home. Hospice Care is not the job for everyone and you should only consider it if you are comfortable around death and dying and dealing with grieving families on a regular basis.
Being in the medical field myself. It is a thankless job at times but it can be the most rewarding job ever. When you work with a stroke patience who finally gets holding a cup or takes their first steps in a long time. You just can't help but rejoice with them. But the job becomes rewarding when the patient looks at you and hugs your neck and says Thanks for helping me.
