Author: Cayden Ryan Limos are driven by chauffeurs mostly and are a compilation of some of the most high tech equipment available. They are luxurious cars and sport utility vehicles and provide ease. comfort and elegance for the passengers. The frame is modified and made to be two times as long as it was originally, in most cases. This varies though, the company making the limo might decide to make a longer or shorter one, depending on what the plan was for that specific car. This is tricky and complicated though, the cars were designed to be made for a specific amount of people, so increasing the length and adding room is a very detailed scientific procedure. This is the largest reason that only a select few limousine companies even attempt limo building.
Limos come in a vast array of colors now due to the changing of times, but they are still mostly black or white. Though, throughout time, limo designers have come up with even more exotic spice to add to their limos. These include things like special doors, incredible sound systems, and sometimes complete bars. They have to strive to keep the limousines interesting and unique, so that the businesses choose to buy their limos, rather than the competitions. The interior is just as important as the exterior. This becomes a factor, if the outside looks great but the inside was poorly designed, then people won't want to ride in it, so no one will buy it.
Limousines have become as easy to get a hold of renting as a car or taxi. The main difference however is that limos require prior notice, most rental cars and taxis don't ask for that. But even with that, limos are still used for a majority of special events such as prom, sight seeing trips, weddings, and for transporting political figures. The limousine industry stays afloat because of this, even when the economy is bad.
The ease of getting a limousine can be difficult at times, so advance booking can take care of that problem. If your flying to a business trip however, the airport your landing at may be able to get a limousine for you, if you let them know. You just need to be careful and make sure that your flight isn't late and that the driver has the right times. With the threat of terrorism, security at the airport won't allow anyone to sit idle and wait for you. So make sure your driver is always updated and knows when to be there.
Limo building is a huge industry in both Europe and America. These two countries supply a majority of the limousine industry worldwide. They make them for limo rental companies, limousine dealerships, and private citizens who wish to own a limo. There has been a large increase in privately owned limousines due to TV stations like MTV and VH1. Many celebrities featured on their shows have their own limos.
A great privacy factor is the fact that there is a divider between the driver and passengers. The reason this is loved is because the passengers can have a private conversation, a feature many chauffeur driven cars lack. They can also come equiped with bulletproof glass and armored siding, for that extra level
