School is just getting out and already the kids are starting to drive their parents crazy. It's going to be a long summer. The weather isn't cooperating very well, so kids are spending too much time indoors. Not much can be done about rainy weather, cool mornings and storms. But there are a few activities that can be done indoors with kids to keep them safe and happy.

So long as the kids are properly supervised, cooking is a great way to keep them happy. Start out with something very simple, like cake or muffins from a mix. Let them measure, stir and prepare all the ingredients without interfering unless they have trouble. Watch carefully when they put things in and take things out of the oven. Kids can gain an appreciation for the hard work it takes to make them delicious meals when they do some of the cooking themselves. Make sure they participate in clean up!

Games are also a great way to keep kids busy. Playing is what kids are supposed to be doing to nurture their personalities and teach them valuable life lessons. If the weather is bad, try setting the entire family around a board game. The game of life is fun, but a little outdated. Let the kids pick the game and just have fun.

Electronics are what keep most kids happiest during the most boring of summer days. Parents can find gaming systems like the Xbox 360 and PS3 at garage sales, on eBay or at pawn shops very cheaply. To find a cheap Xbox hard drive, Xbox 360 accessories or Ps3 controller or Ps3 accessories, visit Pricego's website at http://www.pricego.org/. Electronic accessories are cheap there. Parents can make their kids earn what they want too! That's another great way to keep the house clean and the kids busy.

Other ideas to keep kids busy include working on a special project together. If repairs need to be done around the house maybe it's time to teach your kids about tools and the value of hard work. Children are perfectly capable of running palm sanders, pounding nails, using levels and painting. With supervision, kids can even learn about using tools. Whatever you decide to do to keep your kids busy this summer, just try to be safe, stay calm and have fun. Summer doesn't last forever and the memories they make during these special months last a lifetime.
