The personality of a human being seeks contribution from some physical attributes to be able to befit the ‘perfect’ tag that is so in demand these days. Height is one of the chief criteria that play a determinant in enhancing the charm of a person. People with shorter height often suffer from inferiority complex because of the humiliations and rejections they have to face.
There are a few things one can do to grow taller. They range from simple changes in the daily routine to certain medical treatments. Of course, they vary from person to person depending on their physical ability and strength. Before starting your regime to increase height, you must consult your doctor and an expert physical instructor. The factors that can boost your growth include:
Diet (changing your eating habits)
If you are used to eat 4-5 large meals a day, divide the amount of food into 6-7 small meals. It has been proved that eating smaller amounts of food repetitively helps to increase height by letting the growth hormone flow across your body smoothly which otherwise gets interrupted when you consume large meals. Take a little platter of a protein-carbohydrate combo meal like chicken salad a few hours before and after exercising. This will boost the growth hormones of your body.
If you want to grow taller, avoid eating before sleep. According to studies, eating a large meal within two hours of bedtime supsesses the flow of the growth hormone that your body starts to secret just after you fall asleep.
Exercise (regular workouts)
Start with simple physical activities like walking; climbing up and down the stairs, cycling, swimming etc. can actually begin the process for you to grow taller. At home, perform stretching exercises regularly such as limb stretching or touching toes that can potentially increase height. When it comes to exercising, yoga is second to one. Yoga helps one to become tall and slender. It is even great for the heart. Certain asanas or postures in yoga that can create wonders for you if you practice them regularly are, Matsyasana, Sarpasana, dhanurasana, ushtrasana etc. Exercising 4 days a week is enough for the body to stimulate the flow of growth hormones effectively.
