First thing that is required, is to have an idea about the structural phenomenon of hair. Hair is generally a protein filament growing through the epidermis from the follicles deep within the dermis. The main component of hair is keratin. Hair is like a sponge which sucks the fatty acids and moistures to grow healthy. Hair looks healthy when it is given all the ingredients to the right proportion. When it grows older with time, its absorbing capability gets decayed. There are many products that help to retain moisture of hair artificially, like moisturizers containing fatty acids and high proportion of humectants. We use shampoos and conditioners to add shine to our hair. But in each case shampoo and conditioners have to be identical with the type of hair. There are many types of shampoos and conditioners available in the market, like- dandruff, natural, baby, solid and dry. Dandruff shampoos contain harmful ingredients such as selenium sulfide, zinc pyrithione which goes through the pores of scalp and causes liver dysfunction. Natural shampoos tend to be gentle than the dandruff types, and is for the normal hair. Dry shampoo is for oily hair type as it soaks sebum in excessive and leaves hair in a lifeless condition. Conditioners generally contain moisturizers which help to hold moisturizer in hair. Conditioners may be of different types such as- pack, leave-in, ordinary, and hold. Pack conditioners generally are heavy and thick. It creates a thick layer on hair surface even after washing. It is generally used for dry hair types. Leave-in conditioners differs from pack conditioners in viscosity. It is less thick and makes hair lighter. It is not for dry hair. Ordinary conditioners contain both ingredients of pack and leave-in conditioners. For centuries conditioners are being used to add charm and luster and shine to hair. Some natural products containing some essential oils like tea-tree oil and jojoba oil also can act like conditioner.
The urge for silky hair does not end in shampoos and conditioners. Our hair may not be touch sensible as formed of keratin, the main ingredient of nails. It is woven in the roots of the epidermis through pores that holds hairs strongly. But hair potion is not only required to get healthy, shiny hair. Coincidentally, blood circulation in the scalp is also needed. For, we have to take care of the scalp massage. So, keep moving on with this tricks and get desired result like your dream.
