Rajasthan is a famous tourist destination in India which should not be missed and hardly any does. It has historical structures of Mughal era, old traditional culture, forts, and palaces along with modern luxury, hospitality and comfort. The state brings a beautiful amalgamation for being a famous tourist spot. One of the forts, Amber fort has oldest inscription which dates back from 954 A.D. In the 11th century Kachhawaha Rajputs took hold of fort from Mina tribe. Red sandstone and white marble was used to build the fort. It has some interesting areas like Jai Mandir, Sheesh Mahal, Sukh Niwas, Diwan-I-Am Ganesh Pol. Known as Sonar Quila or the Golden fort, the Jaisalmer fort, looks a fairy in setting sun when it's most colourful shades spark. It has carved havelis of rich merchants, several temples and the residential complexes of the armies and traders. Mostly Muslims were the craftsmen who were brought to exhibit their skills in art forms.They formed an architectural marvel which can't be found anywhere. Another giant fort in Rajasthan has six gates. The Taragarh fort also has Miran Saheb ki Dargah. He was once governor of the fort and died in an encounter. Situated in Nagpahari of Aravalli ranges, the fort explains beautiful archaeology and history.

Located on the banks of Lake Pichola is one of the architectural aces of Rajasthan, Udaipur City Palace. Most visited tourist attraction of Udaipur; City Palace is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. It was built by Maharana Udai Singh but his successors did some additions to make it more beautiful. Rajasthan is known for decorated trains that make you live Rajput era. The world famous Palace on Wheels is undoubtedly a mesmerizing experience. The Maharaja of Jaipur lived in Rambagh, which was converted into palace in 1925. Built in 1835, the Rambagh Palace has served many generations of royals for nearly two centuries. It was built for the queen's favourite handmaiden Kesar Badaran. In Bikaner, another architectural marvel in red sandstone, Lallgarh palace was built by Maharaja Ganga Singh. Maharaja Lall Singh's son built it in 1902 in memory of him. Palace is the blend of Rajput, Mughal and European architecture. While Mughals used Persia styles of architecture; Rajasthan has its own too which is called Māru-Gurjara Architecture. It has Jharokha, Chhatri, Haveli, Stepwell (baoli or bawdi), Johad, Jaali, Char Bagh or Charbagh.
