Choosing an engagement ring for your loved one needs a lot of time and patience, as you need to choose the right shape of diamond for the special occasion. If you walk in your local jewelry store, you will get many shapes to choose from. So you have to make sure you take your time to choose one that will suit the overall appearance of your ring or other fine diamond jewelry.
So what are the different shapes of a diamond? Many of us hardly know the difference between the shape and cut of a diamond. The Shape refers to the overall appearance of a particular diamond, be it oval, round, etc. A cut of a diamond refers to how the diamond itself is fashioned.
Before you choose the perfect diamond as your engagement ring, make inquiries about the worth and value of the diamonds, this will make your work easier.
Below are some of the most common diamond shapes available in the market:-
A. Pear-Shaped Diamond. Usually found on pendants and earrings. It resembles the shape of a pear with a variety of colors available.
B. Oval-Shaped Diamond. Usually gives the impression of a larger diamond and is loved by women with shorter fingers who wear it as diamond rings.
C. Round-Shaped Diamond. This is the most expensive as well as the most popular among all the other shapes of diamonds. It is commonly used in earrings, rings, pendants and necklaces.
D. Heart-Shaped Diamond. Popularly known as the romantic choice and you can gift your soulmate. Heart-shaped diamonds are professionally cut and shapes can varied from gem cutter to gem cutter
