Baby book scrapbooking is simple and fun - plus, it's a great way to keep the memories of your child safely stowed away and organized for years to come. What are the basic steps for creating that perfect baby book?

1. Start with a good selection of photos - the pictures you include in your baby book are the most important feature, so only choose the best (and cutest) shots from your collection. One way to approach baby book scrapbooking is chronologically. Start with photos of your pregnancy, and then add pictures from every stage of the baby's life.

2. The opening page can simply be a short introduction which includes information such as the baby's name, date of birth, as well as the place of his birth.

3. On the pregnancy pages, try to capture the thoughts and feelings you felt while waiting for your baby to arrive. Journal about the anticipation and excitement you felt, as well as your nerves and any other tidbit you find compelling enough to include at the beginning of the baby book. Here you can place sonogram pictures and leave heartfelt and humorous comments regarding food cravings you may have experienced, and other interesting anecdotes. It is a good idea to journal the baby's length, weight and time of birth. When your child is older, he will love looking back on this information. Also, you will want to keep all of the hospital bracelets as keepsake items.
