Cable lighting is a variation of track lighting where the fixtures are suspended from un-insulated cables that carry low voltage. The fixtures used can range from very simpleâ€"such as two-hinged rodsâ€"to artful like the human silhouette, whose hands hold the socket while the feet touch the wires.

Cable track lighting is prepared using two sets of cables that are connected together with short wires that have clips at either end. They are low-voltage lighting system where the wire that provide the electricity is a pair of cables.
