If you ever come across the flashy words reading "Free Electronic Cigarette", run as fast as you can! This kind of scam has hit the e-cigarette industry quite hard these days as some fake e-cig company is fooling users by giving away free electronic cigarettes which they call "e-cigarettes" and later they use the customers card details and start charging them for the monthly refills (which we've heard that never arrive!). They ask the customer card details during the process, and because they utilize debit card details instead of credit card, the amount becomes non-refundable.

According to our knowledge, e-cigarette is supplied by Dragon Trading in Preston. Two people have been fooled from the website Freecig.com, and one from city centre booth. Moreover, the victims are unable to contact the sellers because they have vanished from the scene and have even changed the name of their websites.

If you are one of the targeted victims, please note your complaint with Trading Standards and the Citizens Advice Bureau so a strong action can be taken against these impostors. And be sure you buy the real e-cigarettes from an original electronic cigarette company in the future.

Measures To Avoid This Scam: You can ensure the company you're dealing with is authentic by observing the following:

- Ask for referrals and friends recommendations before dealing with a certain e-cig company. - Research well about the company and get to know everything about them. - Get their complete address including business address and telephone number. Don't just be satisfied with a post box address.
