Who doesnt love throwing a loved one a baby shower? It is the most amazing time in a woman's life. Preparing for a new baby is an exciting and sometimes scary time for both mom and dad but it can be made into an eventful and even learning experience by getting relative and friends together to advise and help the expecting parents.
When throwing a baby shower, usually having a theme makes it more exciting and interesting for the guests. One of my favorite themes is Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes! It is one of the most popular and beloved baby themes for both older generations and the young munchkins growing up today. When you decide to add a theme to your baby shower, you might wonder how to easily incorporate this nostalgic theme into your guests' gifts. No worries! We've got you covered with some creative and easy to follow baby shower gift ideas. Here are some great ideas on what to tell your guests to bring - of course, they never HAVE TO bring any gifts and it's the thought that counts.
1. In your baby shower invitations, assign each guest a nursery rhyme and ask them to bring a gift that corresponds to it. For example, "Rub a Dub Dub" yields itself to remind people of baby bath items, and Wee Willie Winkie could mean sleeping items and Mary Mary Quite Contrary might mean growth charts. If you want to make it extra fun, suggest to your guests that they wrap their gifts to resemble a nursery rhyme book and award a gift to the person with the most creative gift-wrapping.
2. Dont let the mom to be become an Old Mother Hubbard. In your baby shower invitations, ask your guests to help stock the mom to be's cupboard with jars of baby food. Place the items in the Jack and Jill wishing well.
3. And finally, invite your guests to fill out a wishing well with inexpensive baby clothes, baby bottles, socks, hats, and everything else the new mom will need. Give the items to the mom to be or donate them to a local women's shelter.
These are a few different ways you can incorporate the famous Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme into your next Baby Shower!
