I have been in this business for 8 years and so have the inside perspective on the tree care industry. In addition to our own business boom, I was a little tree climber for about 20 different companies. Some people say I was "on the reflected light." I come from a mercenary fellow tree. Most of my climbing experience was in Arizona, California and Hawaii. It was a great way to travel!

I am a certified Arborist and I am proud of that little. Unfortunately, "Certified Arborist" means little if it is just a code word for "seller. The lion's share of the wood work was carried out on those who are not a Certified Arborist and with no Certified Arborist on site. One can argue that this guy with the clipboard, "Arborist" was doing some training with the "arborists Non", and so they have a better product. It is difficult to verify, and from what I've seen are usually not the case. They probably did not prepare training at all. A certified Arborist available while the work is very important for the final result. It does not matter if a company has Certified Arborists if they are not accessible to customers. California and Hawaii, of course, there are huge trees but in Arizona, but several. So, in no particular order here are some thoughts on how to choose a tree company. First of all, let's clear up this myth Certified Arborist.

The key point is whether the seller / Arborist speak the same language that is not-arborists. The language barrier between English and Spanish, is a fairly high wall in some cases. I speak Spanish yet I have a hard time communicating technical details essential for the safe operation of the tree. I side with the Spanish speaking worker here because they are the ones who could be hurt if training is not enough. Make sure that there will be someone at your job who speaks English in addition to the Spanish workers say.

There is a huge risk in picking up the phone book and call a tree service with the largest and most colorful ad. Many companies with strong ethics and customer satisfaction hardly ads at all. You do not need to delete large messages, but make sure that there are other criteria that are choosing a tree service. Traditionally the Better Business Bureau was a good resource for consumers, but I am aware of one member tree service that currently there were 39 complaints in the past 36 months. Wow, this service. Our company, wood, has 0 complaints in the past 6 years.
